We are pleased to announce that our Brown Cow Pub has been named the best pub in Zermatt. This is according to the ratings of visitors to Restaurant Guru, one of the most popular foodie websites in the world with over 30 million monthly users.
We present our new bar the "Living Room" in the centre of the old town, with a garden terrace and a spectacular view of the Matterhorn. A place to meet the locals, enjoy a drink and play our arcade game or table football. Nuno looks forward to welcoming you and making you feel like home, only better!

They have received the third place of this year's BOSG Gasto Award in the category Classic.
In collaboration with the internationally renowned interior designer Federica Palacios, who was already responsible for the total renovation of the Design Hotel in 2007 and for all subsequent renovation and extension work, all rooms were refreshed and redecorated for this winter season. The layout and design convey a dignified yet trendy effect, which reflects a certain timeless ambiance through authenticity. Special emphasis is placed on sustainability and the combination of tradition and modernity.
The restaurant "The Factory" with Mediterranean specialties, focusing on pizza and pasta dishes, will open today with an adapted and refreshing gastronomic concept under the new name "VIVANDA - sapori mediterranei". The VIVANDA restaurant will be newly an authentic Italian ristorante with a focus on original, fresh and homemade Italian products, preparation methods and dishes. Thanks to a new charcoal grill, various special fish and meat dishes will also be offered in the future, such as an authentic Italian "bistecca alla fiorentina". A fine pasta and pizza selection from the wood-fired oven will continue to be offered, albeit in a reduced form.
The current restaurant P.O.S.T with its sharing food concept will undergo a concept renewal and be redesigned as the hotel's "Pop Up Restaurant". We want let our gastronomic creativity run free and respond quickly, surprisingly and innovatively to the new, constantly changing needs and wishes of our guests. At the beginning of December we will start with the new and trendy winter gastronomy concept "BAO BAR - asian street food". Various delicious and currently very trendy Bao Buns have been created.
Diogo Monteiro Correia will be at the stove from next October. He will succeed Christian Schubert as executive chef.
The 41-year-old Diogo Monteiro Correia was previously head chef at the Matterhorn Group and before that, head chef at the Chez Vrony restaurant in Findeln for nine years. After successfully completing his apprenticeship at the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, Diogo Monteiro Correia spent his professional years in various well-known hotel and catering establishments. During his many years as head chef at "Chez Vrony", he succeeded in positioning the Zermatt restaurant as a 14-point Gault-Millau mountain restaurant with a great deal of quality awareness and innovation.
